Dran Sword 4-80DB
BX-00
Weight: 34.5g (LOW END) - 35.3g (HIGH END)
Design: Three-sided blade design with sharp, aggressive contact points.
Uses a variety of attack potential: Capable of both upper attack (launching Beyblades into the air) and smash attack (sending Beyblades into pockets).
Attack VS Attack performance: In an attack vs. attack (AVA) matchup, Dran Sword can manage alright it has good explosive hits.
Attack VS Defense/Stamina: It can also perform alright against stamina and defence combinations it is not partiucally crazy but can do fine.
DranSword on Stamina/Defense: When used on stamina or defence combinations, Dran Sword canmaintain a stationary position in the stadium while still being aggressive enough to achieve knockouts.
Strengths:
Explosive Critical Hits: Dran Sword at its peak, being mint can deliver strong explosive hits that can Burst or KO their opponent. However, this can vary the more worn Dran Sword becomes.
Weaknesses:
Low Stamina: Fast and aggressive but has low stamina, depleting quickly over time.
Top Heavy: Due to the shape and design this Beyblade will naturally as the battle gets closer to the end fall down because of where the weight is distributed.
Negative Recoil: This blade can suffer the issue where the recoil generated can be used against itself leading it to be hurled around the stadium where one of its greatest assets could be a weakness.
Wearing Design: Due to its sharp and aggressive design, especially when paired with the Beyblade X Xtreme Dash Gimmick, it is prone to wear faster than other Beyblades. It is recommended to have more than one copy of the Dran Sword layer, likely for replacements due to wear and tear.
Overall: Due to the fact other releases like Phoenix Wing and other attackers not only outclass for pure attack but for other combination types, Dran Sword is a welcome addition but not a must-have currently.
Gameplan: On setups with low height on any aggressive bit that can get speed, like Flat Taper, you must hard launch and aim to defeat your opponent quickly.
Combos:
Attack: Dran Sword 3-60/4-60/5-60/7-60 Flat/Low Flat/Taper/Rush/Unite/Low Rush/Rubber Accel
Weight: 7g
Design: 4-80 is a ratchet that has 4 sides and a tall height, the contact areas for the ratchet are 4 small points.
No real difference in consistent stamina: There doesn't seem to be a significant difference in stamina performance between the other sides of 3, 4, 5, 9 etc... However one should balance tune or try to test on a case-by-case basis before deciding what to use.
Strengths:
General Stamina: Generally 4 sided ratchets seem to have promising enough stamina.
Tightness: Aside from random quality control issues the tightness is usually pretty high on 4-80, similar to other tall height ratchets.
Weakness:
Four sides with smaller hit points: The Ratchet has four sides with small square contact points compared to a three-sided design. Despite having smaller hit points than three sides it actually makes it easier to hit since it is not as rounded off meshed onto the ratchet.
Tall Height: It is one of the tallest height ratchets, not only that but since the 4 points are easier to Burst than 3 sides you are extremely vulnerable to losing via burst.
Weight: 3.2g
Design: Disc Ball is a Beyblade X bit with low burst resistance and a semi-sphere on the bottom with the added wide disc of support and is nearly 2mm taller than regular Ball.
Strengths:
Highest Stamina: Disc Ball, if one balances tunes, can be the most consistent and highest stamina bit in Beyblade X right now. It can still lose to Ball or even Orb, but it should generally be able to beat it.
KO Defense: Due to the shape of Disc Ball it has a wide disc that supports the stability of it and also allows it to not be KO'd as easily.
Weight: Disc Ball is the heaviest bit so far which can be used to have good KO resistance to help give weight to combinations.
Weaknesses:
Height: Disc Ball is basically if it was a double High Bit being nearly 2mm increased from regular Ball.
Burst Risk: Due to being a bit with 20 in burst resistance and tall, there is a massive Burst risk if one does not tilt launch or optimize their launch because it can lose very poorly to attackers.
Gameplan:
Somewhat tilted angle shoot and throw: To maximize the effectiveness of this Bit, you can employ a slight angle and throw the Beyblade on the opposing side from where you launch. This is to avoid knockouts and to conserve stamina.
Overall
This release is already hard to obtain being a limited collectors item, if you do get it, this should just be for collection purposes only as the blade is the only thing of value.
