Knight Lance4-60GB
BX-24 03
Weight: 32.7g (LOW END) - 32.9g (HIGH END)
Design: Three-sided blade design with tapered aggressive edges.
Blade Use:
Uses a variety of attack potential: Capable of some upper attack (launching Beyblades into the air) and mostly smash attack (sending Beyblades into pockets).
Attack VS Attack performance:
An attack versus attack KnightLance can do somewhat decent Lance has a unique property due to its tapered off design with recoil that it can sometimes deflect attackers with its design. What that can potentially mean is that there could be some rounds where you could have KnightLance repelling an attacker that hits it. You're only worry will be that you could potentially get out recoiled and lose because of that but otherwise you have a decent stamina advantage.
Attack VS Defense/Stamina:
KnightLance features a decent attack potential, while it is not the most aggressive blade in design due to its high stamina if we use a balance setup like Taper or Point that allow the combination of both attack that it has and more stamina you can attack your opponent while having a pretty good chance to outspin them at the end.
KnightLance on Stamina/Defense:
Despite being a defense type Lance does not necessarily work too well on stamina/defense. The issue with Lance lies in the gap that Takara Tomy left in the design. It basically means even if Lance does have decent stamina close to that of Wizard Arrow the gap will get in the way. As the recoil and hit underneath could potentially allow for a Burst to occur.
Along with that Lance features "Recoil Release" which means that because it is an aggressive blade since it releases a lot of crazy recoil at times you can force the white part of the ratchet to release the bit without the normal amount of force it would generally take in battle.
It is POSSIBLE for Lance to display uses of counterattack but it is better off used on setups such as POINT or TAPER that allow the use of STAMINA/ATTACK.
Strengths:
Medium Chance Of Critical Hits: Due to its unique tapered-off edges.
Weaknesses:
Gap: Even if the gap does not matter in the long game, the fact that it is there means there will always be more of a risk than regular blades for burst risk.
Recoil Release: Like other certain blades due to the fact it has heavy recoil the blade can cause the ratchet to release the bit causing yourself to lose to a burst.
Overall: Due to decent shape and stamina along with mixed attack properties, Lance is a solid blade to use against attackers or stamina types.
Gameplan: On setups with low height 3-60/9-60/5-60 with Taper/Point or taller setups like 3-80/5-80 you can have a unique setup that has it at its best.
Combos:
Attack/Balance: KnightLance 3-60/5-60/3-80/5-80 Taper/Point
Weight: 6.4g
Design: 4-60 is a ratchet that has 4 sides and a low height, the contact areas for the ratchet are 4 small points.
No real difference in consistent stamina: There doesn't seem to be a significant difference in stamina performance between the three-sided and four-sided versions of the Ratchet. Though this varies on combo to combo and should absolutely get tested if you are to try anything at all.
Strengths:
Low Height: It is one of the lowest height ratchets, making it a great use for attack combinations or other low height setups depending on context.
Weakness:
Four sides with smaller hit points: The Ratchet has four sides with small square contact points compared to a three-sided design. Despite having smaller hit points than three sides it actually makes it easier to hit since it is not as rounded off meshed onto the ratchet.
Weight: 2.1g
Design: GearBall is a Beyblade X bit with low burst resistance and a large semi-sphere on the bottom.
Strengths:
General High Stamina: The Ball bit due to its design of semi sphere is currently the best bit to use for pure stamina in Beyblade X.
Xtreme Dash: If launched correctly similar to a point gear ball can be used to do have movement that can fight back against whatever Beyblade it is up against to KO them or Xtreme.
Weaknesses:
KO Risk: Due to shape not being something that can really grip the stadium it can easily be KO'd costing you big points.
Gimmick failure?: Since the bit has low burst resistance and it is focused on fast movement it forces this bit to just die easily to Burst Finish and not be as consistent as you want. At BEST, you can have this used for pure stamina battles as opposed to any attack stuff. It can just perish too much to be considered.
Gameplan:
Somewhat tilted angle shoot and throw: To maximize the effectiveness of this Bit, you can employ a slight angle and throw the Beyblade on the opposing side from where you launch. This is to avoid knockouts and to conserve stamina.
Needs a STRONG shoot to be consistent.
Overall
This blade is a decent pull if you get this, you get 4-60 which is an OK ratchet, another chance to get GearBall and Lance that is a fine blade for attack and stamina use. While the stock combo will perform poor because of how Lance is, this is a welcome addition to anyone's collection.
