Phoenix Wing 5-80H
BX-35 05
Weight: 37.9g (LOW END) - 38.45g (HIGH END)
Design: Three-sided blade jagged design with, aggressive contact points.
Uses a variety of attack potential: Capable of both upper attack (launching Beyblades into the air) and smash attack (sending Beyblades into pockets).
Attack VS Attack performance: Due to quite literally being the heaviest blade next to CobaltDrake it dominates a lot of attack matches due to sheer weight, it will generally overcome any of its faults because of this.
Attack VS Defense/Stamina: While PhoenixWng is not invincible it is incredibly strong, the blade is able to easily smack around stamina and defense.
Stamina VS Stamina: PhoenixWing due to sheer weight can be used as top tier stamina since it uses weight to bully other stamina types. While it technically does not have crazy stamina the weight in its hits for impact compensate for that.
Defense VS Attack: PhoenixWing due to weight can be easily used on defense combinations and tank a lot of big hits due to weight and its general shape.
Strengths:
Weight: One of the heaviest blades in Beyblade X that can have an advantage in Battle.
Hard Smash Attack: PhoenixWing will quite literally beat you up so hard just because the weight works well with the shape.
Weaknesses:
Top Heavy: Due to the shape and design Phoenix will eventually topple down as it gets closer to the end of battle due to weight distribution at the top.
Gap: In order to balance a powerful release like this, Takara Tomy had to give it a gap to make it somewhat balanced, this makes it more easily supcetipble to bursting. It is preferred to use PhoenixWIng on 9-60 or 5-60 setups.
Overall: Phoenix Wing is a must-have as it is the easiest attacker to use, while still having great stamina and defense.
Gameplan: On setups with low height on any normal meta setup PhoenixWing can be effectively used.
Combos:
Attack: PhoenixWing 9-60/5-60 Rush/Flat
Balance: PhoenixWing 9-60/5-60 Taper/Point
Stamina: PhoenixWing 9-60/5-60 Ball/Orb
Defense: PhoenixWing 9-60/5-60 Needle/HighNeedle/Hexa/Dot
Weight: 7.2g
Design: 5-80 is a ratchet with 5 sides and a tall height. The contact areas for the ratchet are 5 somewhat wide points.
Strengths:
Stamina: Generally, due to its shape and its OWD (outward weight distribution), it can have greater stamina than other ratchets, giving Beyblades more balance.
Defence: This ratchet's 5-sided and thick design gives it some of the best defence out of all the ratchets. It is only really worse than 9 sides due to how 9 sides are exposed.
Weakness:
Tall Height: It is important to note that being tall in the case of 5-80 does not mean pure weakness; however, it means being careful how you launch.
Weight: 2.6g
Design: Hexa is a Beyblade X bit with high burst resistance and a cone-like shape with divided sections. The Bit also has 16 gears, allowing it to focus explicitly on Xtreme Dash when touching the rails.
Strengths:
KO Resistance: Hexa is a bit that, once tilted, moves in a hammer-like motion of tilting down and going back straight. The bit allows any blade paired with it to consistently nullify a lot of big hits that are dealt to it. One must tilt Hexa if using it; otherwise, it can be KO'd with little effort generally.
Burst Resistance: Surprisingly, since this is used for Defense but a Balance bit, it has a high 80 stat resistance due to the thick shaft, which allows it to take a lot of big hits. This makes it a bigger priority to use over Needle or High Needle or any defence bit currently out right now because the resistance is so high, which defence needs.
Weaknesses:
Xtreme Dash: While it is possible to have counter movement using the Xtreme Line, what can happen is that Hexa accelerates, wasting stamina, or speeds up into a pocket. The gimmick is interesting but not useful enough to warrant attempts to use it.
Gameplan:
Somewhat tilted angle shoot and hold: To maximize the effectiveness of this Bit, you can employ a slight angle and hold the Beyblade on to the corner of where you are to lead into the middle to get those big hits without being knocked out.
Be aware of the top corners on the opposite side of where the Xtreme Finish is: Aim to try to KO with your movement.
Overall
Phoenix Wing is a solid pull for this random booster. The stock combination has competitive potential due to Phoenix's aggressive shape, which can disrupt attackers. The 5-80 height is decent, but the Hexa bit is the highlight, offering excellent defense. Overall, this release provides great value, making it a must-have for your collection, particularly for the Phoenix Wing blade and the
