Mammoth Tusk 2-80E
BX-00
Weight: 31.9 (LOW END) 32.4g (HIGH END)
Blade Design: Mammoth Tusk is a Variant/Echo of Hells Scythe, sharing a similar shape but with intentional imbalance and flattened contact points.
Attack vs. Attack: Tusk Mammoth delivers weak hits in Attack matchups. Its modified shape lacks the aggression of the original Hells Scythe. While setups using Taper may have a chance at winning in the endgame, achieving consistent results is difficult.
Attack vs. Stamina/Defense: Its effectiveness depends on the user. On setups like Flat, it performs inconsistently and struggles to land strong hits. However, Taper or Point setups offer slightly better performance. For more aggressive builds, 1-60 or 7-60 Ratchets are ideal.
Stamina Use: Tusk Mammoth is not viable for stamina-based strategies due to its imbalanced design and poor metal weight distribution, which cause it to destabilize and lose.
Defense Use: Defensively, Tusk Mammoth is a nerfed version of Hells Scythe. It no longer possesses strong counterattack recoil potential, making it vulnerable to most Attack types.
Strengths:
Versatility: If optimized correctly, Tusk Mammoth can be used in various setups depending on the blader's launch style and skill. However, this is also a double-edged sword due to its inconsistent performance.
Weaknesses:
Imbalance & Design Flaws: The release removes the best aspects of Hells Scythe, making it a weaker alternative.
Gameplan: Hells Scythe truly is a confusing blade; depending on how you angle and strength you can either have this working very well or failing quite a bit. It is recommended to be used with some tilt.
Overall: Tusk Mammoth is a downgraded version of Hells Scythe with few redeeming qualities. While it is possible to win with it, there is no real reason to use it over other available options in Beyblade X. If you insist on using it, your best bet is in Stamina or Defense setups—otherwise, it lacks significant competitive viability.
Weight: 6.4g
Design: 4-60 is a ratchet that has 4 sides and a low height, the contact areas for the ratchet are 4 small points.
No real difference in consistent stamina: There doesn't seem to be a significant difference in stamina performance between the three-sided and four-sided versions of the Ratchet. Though this varies on combo to combo and should absolutely get tested if you are to try anything at all.
Strengths:
Low Height: It is one of the lowest height ratchets, making it a great use for attack combinations or other low height setups depending on context.
Weakness:
Four sides with smaller hit points: The Ratchet has four sides with small square contact points compared to a three-sided design. Despite having smaller hit points than three sides it actually makes it easier to hit since it is not as rounded off meshed onto the ratchet.
Weight: 2.2g
Design: Taper is a Bit that features high Burst resistance and features a semi-flat with an indent on the bottom.
Strengths:
Great mixed stamina and attack bit for Beyblade X: The Taper Bit is similar to Flat where the design of this Bit is a semi-flat. So while it is still able to be used for attack getting that aggressive movement, you have greatly improved stamina compared to regular flat.
Uses the Xtreme Dash gimmick easily: The Bit works well with the Xtreme Dash performance tip, allowing for high speed and KO potential.
Able to pick up somewhat strong speeds and KO: The Bit excels in achieving somewhat high rotational speeds, making it proficient at knocking out opponents from the stadium.
Burst Resistance: Due to being a Bit with an 80 Stats in Burst resistance this makes this bit great to use due to minimal Burst risk.
Weaknesses:
Mixed attack potential: Taper can have the reverse issue of Flat, while Flat can kinda fail for stamina performance, Taper can kinda fail for attack performance. It requires a good shoot to make it get to a very similar performance to Flat when Blader is optimizing for the shoot. This is both a pro and a con, you get the benefit of more controlled stamina but less use of pure attack.
Vulnerability to self-KO: If the Bit is hard-launched and catches the stadium path, it can self-KO, which is a potential weakness. Control and technique are important when using this Bit.
Gameplan:
Flat launch or a somewhat tilted angle shoot: To maximize the effectiveness of this Bit, you can employ a flat launch or a slight angle to utilize the stadium's gimmicks and aim for knockouts.
Overall
Hells Scythe is a release that requires a lot more skill and thought use via blader using it for Beyblade X, if you like something that can test how strategic you want to be in battle then this is the blade for you. As such Hells Scythe is a must-have for any competitive bladers. As time has went on this Blade has proved to be the most versatile blade to be used on stamina for any blader to use.
