Viper Tail 5-80O
BX-16 01
Prize BEYBLADE
Weight: 34.6g (LOW END) - 34.9G (HIGH END)
Design: Three-sided blade design with sharp trianglular aggressive contact points.
Attack VS Attack performance: In an attack vs. attack (AVA) matchup, Viper Tail can destablize opponents outspinning them and beating them.
Attack VS Defense/Stamina: ViperTail is a very hard hitting attacker that does great smash attack.
ViperTail on Defense/Stamina: While it may be possible in taller heights to destablize its opponents, the issue is the beyblade suffers from Recoil Release and can be very bursty on any defense or stamina setups.
Strengths:
Destabilizing Hits: The low hanging metal blades can sometimes cause it to destablize and harm the opponent it is battling against.
Strong Smash Attack: ViperTail has strong smacking properties that all it to sometimes oblierate its opponent.
Weaknesses:
Top Heavy: Due to the design of it because of the gap, it can sometimes fall and lose stamina causing yourself to lose via being outspun or a Spin Finish.
Gap: Like any Beyblade with a gap, ViperTail suffers from this issue, which makes it susceptible to being abused by other Blades and causing it to burst.
Recoil Release: Like other certain blades, due to its heavy recoil, the blade can cause the ratchet to release the bit, causing you to lose to a burst.
Overall: Due to the recoil design, it is best to use only attack combos.
Gameplan: Use this blade on any low-height attack setup using the below combos.
Combos:
Attack: ViperTail 5-60/3-60 Flat/Low Flat/Taper/Rush/Point
Weight: 7.2g
Design: 5-80 is a ratchet that has 5 sides and a tall height, the contact areas for the ratchet are 5 somewhat wide points.
Strengths:
Stamina: Generally due to the shape and its OWD (outwards weight distribution) it can have greater stamina than other ratchets giving Beyblades more balance.
Defense: Due to being 5 sided and thick, this ratchet has some of the best defense out of all the ratchets and only really is worse than 9 sides due to how 9 sides is exposed.
Weakness:
Tall Height: It is important to note that being tall in the case of 5-80 does not mean pure weakness however it means to be careful how you launch.
Weight: 2g
Design: Orb is a Beyblade X bit with low burst resistance and a small semi-sphere on the bottom.
Strengths:
GOOD Stamina: Orb is very comparable to Ball for its stamina performance being more or less the same, making it a strong pick.
DEFENSE: Orb has the benefit of having some pretty good KO resistance, while not some large amount it can be a lot tankier to hits dealt to it than regular ball.
Weaknesses:
Destabilization: If combo is not balance tuned meaning how the ratchet is assembled in placement, it can result in Orb failing miserably and destabilizing bad.
Burst Risk: Due to being a bit with 20 in burst resistance, there is a potential risk to use as it has lower resistance than Balance and Attack bits. This is not the end all be all just something to consider.
Gameplan:
Somewhat tilted angle shoot and throw: To maximize the effectiveness of this Bit, you can employ a slight angle and throw the Beyblade on the opposing side from where you launch. This is to avoid knockouts and to conserve stamina.
STRONG Shoot: Orb requires to be as good as ball that you MUST have a strong shoot otherwise it can die pretty bad.
Overall
Viper Tail is a worthy addition to ones collection, it is best used on attack combos for the use of the blade. The other parts are good since 5-80 is a solid tall ratchet and Orb is good for stamina just never use the stock combo.
