Weiss Tiger 3-60U
BX-33
Weight: 34.5g (LOW END) - 34.7g (HIGH END)
Design: Weiss Tiger is a 3-sided blade with 3 holes and an outer blade with a downward slope.
Gimmick Mastery Of Balance: Weiss Tiger is described as using the holes on the blade for shock absorption, similar to Knight Shield. The edges of the blade hang low to dampen stamina like Viper Tail, and the curve on the blade has an Upper Attack like Shark Edge.
Weiss Tiger On Attack/ Balance Combos VS Stamina: As of June 2024, Weiss Tiger is slightly below average for what most would expect Beyblade X blades to be, so its Attack and Balance combo use is not that good. While the weight is OK at best, the weight distribution in the shape is not good, being not that aggressive for the design. Weiss needs to be tilted to do anything; if it stands still, you won't get much use out of it in attack combos. Weiss struggles quite a bit against Wizard Rod to be able to knock it out.
Weiss Tiger Attack VS Attack: Presenting a similar issue to Attack/Balance VS Stamina since it isn't that heavy it kind of gets weight crept by Dran Buster, Phoenix Wing and Tyranno Beat. Even if you ignore those, it is OK at best for many of the hits it does.
Weiss Tiger On Stamina/Defense Combos: Weiss Tiger's big problem is the weight and weight distribution for the shape. It can potentially tank some attacks from other blades, but it doesn't have that consistent stamina. So you either have a case in pure stamina vs stamina it just does poor. Stamina VS Attack can deflect the opponents and outspin, but it isn't doing anything special. If Weiss is used on Hexa for Denfese VS Attack, while it is possible to counter-attack maybe and defend, it is TOO light and can get KO'd right away.
Strengths:
Decent Smash Attack: Despite being designed for Upper Attack, Weiss is, at best, most consistent in having a decent smash attack, which allows it to knock out opponents well.
Weaknesses:
Weight Distribution/Weight: Weiss Tiger suffers from poor weight and weight distribution. The sections aren't that thick on the outer parts of the blade, and while the weight is OK since the shape is already so good, having below-average weight in the current Beyblade X means it had two factors working against itself.
Stamina: Weiss Tiger has inconsistent endgame stamina, allowing it to get outspun, often not unless you hard launch it.
Overall, Weiss Tiger is just an average release. It doesn't do anything exceptionally good or exceptionally bad compared to the current roster of Beyblade X. While it is possible to compete with top contenders, the design and weight distribution unfortunately prevented it from being as effective as it could've been. As such, it is a welcome addition to anyone's collection but not a must-have priority.
Gameplan: Tilt to maximize effective news because the blade standing flat cannot do consistent work.
Combos:
Stamina: Weiss Tiger 5-60B/O
Balance/Attack: Weiss Tiger 5-60/9-60/3-60 U/P
Defense: Weiss Tiger 5-60/5-70H
Weight: 6.30g (LOW END) - 6.40g (HIGH END)
Design: 3-60 is a ratchet with three sides and a low height. The contact areas are three wide points.
No real difference in consistent stamina: According to the information provided, there isn't a significant difference in stamina performance between the three-sided and four-sided versions of the Ratchet. Strengths:
Three sides with wider hit points: The Ratchet has wider contact points compared to a four-sided design. Although it is wider and should be easier to hit, this is not the case due to its being rounded off.
Low Height: It is one of the lowest-height ratchets, making it great for attack combinations or other low-height setups, depending on the context.
Weakness:
Tightness Variation: Generally 3-60's have not been uber tight for the low height, so while this doesn't matter too much even if 4 sides can be tighter.
Weight: 2.2g
Design: Unite is a bit with high Burst resistance and a rounded semi-flat bottom with an indent and a tiny ball in the hole.
Strengths:
Great mixed stamina and attack bit for Beyblade X: The Unite Bit is similar to Taper and Ball, but its design is rounded semi-flat. The big difference compared to Taper is that Unite is a lot more aggressive in its movement pattern, being a lot faster in movement. It also has slightly better stamina than that of regular Taper but can tip over and lose stamina badly.
Uses the Xtreme Dash gimmick easily: The Bit works well with the Xtreme Dash performance tip, allowing for high speed and KO potential.
Able to pick up somewhat strong speeds and KO: The Bit excels in achieving somewhat high rotational speeds, making it proficient at knocking out opponents from the stadium.
Burst Resistance: This bit has 80 Stats in Burst resistance, which makes it great to use due to minimal Burst risk.
Weaknesses:
Vulnerability to self-KO: If the Bit is hard-launched and catches the stadium path, instead of going directly down to the Xtreme Zone it will (if your bey is right rotation) go all the way to the left side to the knockout zone. There can even be times where it doesn't get triggered to do so and still hops over easily into any KO zone making it a bit tricky to use.
It can self-KO, which is a potential weakness. Control and technique are important when using this Bit.
Gameplan:
Tilt: To maximize the effectiveness of this Bit, you must tilt it, you cannot do a flat launch other wise you can self KO pretty bad, not unless you are confident in your skill should you try and risk it.
Overall
Weiss Tiger is just an average release. It doesn't do anything exceptionally good or exceptionally bad compared to the current roster of Beyblade X. While it is possible to maybe compete with top contenders, it was unfortunately stopped by the design and weight distribution from being as effective as it could've been. 3-60 is fine being there, and Unite offers more exciting qualities than Unite, but it is not too consistent. As such, it is a welcome addition to anyone's collection but not a must-have priority.
