Crimson Garuda 4-70TP
BX-38
Weight: 34.7g (LOW END) 35.2g (HIGH END)
Blade Design: Crimson Garuda has an oval, flat shape with slight curves that that are sloped down.
Attack vs. Attack (AVA): Crimson Garuda performs okay in AVA battles but lacks consistency. Its weight isn’t substantial, and its shape doesn’t contribute significantly to attack power, making it less reliable against heavier or more aggressive opponents.
Attack vs. Defense/Stamina: Garuda is best suited for attack combinations, though it lacks a strong upper attack mechanism to make it consistently effective. While it can deliver solid hits, it doesn’t offer anything outstanding in these matchups.
Strengths:
Smash Attack: Provides solid forward-smash attack, making it capable of defeating opponents with well-placed hits.
Weaknesses:
Weight: Crimson Garuda isn’t particularly heavy, and its shape doesn’t offer any standout advantages. While it sits in the mid-30g range, a heavier weight would've benefited its design would have made it more effective.
Overall: Crimson Garuda is a balance blade similar to that of Shark Edge in performance it is mainly used on attack combinations and does well enough, it is a welcome addition to anyones collection.
Gameplan: Crimson Garuda should be used on low-height attack combinations, where it can maximize its forward-smash potential.
Recommended Combos: Attack: Crimson Garuda 7-60 / 1-60 | LF / LR / R
Weight: 6.5g
Design: 4-70 is a ratchet that has 4 sides and a middle height, the contact areas for the ratchet are 4 small points.
No real difference in consistent stamina: There doesn't seem to be a significant difference in stamina performance between the three-sided and four-sided versions of the Ratchet. However, this varies from combo to combo and should absolutely be tested if you are to try anything at all.
Strengths:
Middle Height: In this unique height range, similar combinations to those of 60 can be run and potentially beat them by being taller to stabilize them. This has to be very generalized, but one should experiment with this height and see what benefits it can reap
Weakness:
Four sides with smaller hit points: The Ratchet has four sides with small square contact points compared to a three-sided design. Despite having smaller hit points than three sides it actually makes it easier to hit since it is not as rounded off meshed onto the ratchet.
Weight: 2.17g
Design: Trans Point is a flat bit that features a filled area where the indent would usually be with an exposed semi sphere ball, and features a stat of 80 for high Burst resistance.
Height Change: Trans Point can switch between low and tall heights during battle. If using a 60-height setup, the low mode is 50 height and high mode is 70 height.
Strengths:
Good Stamina Performance: Compared to standard Point, Trans Point leans more towards stamina due to its protruding ball design, making it a solid choice for endurance-based strategies.
Attack Potential: While not as aggressive as Point, Trans Point can still maintain good speed and movement, especially when angled correctly. Its ability to adapt between stamina and attack gives it flexibility against different opponents.
Uses the Xtreme Dash gimmick easily: The Bit works well with the Xtreme Dash performance tip, allowing for high speed and KO potential.
Able to pick up strong speeds and KO: The Bit excels in achieving high rotational speeds, making it proficient at knocking out opponents from the stadium.
Burst Resistance: Due to being a Bit with a 80 Stats in Burst resistance this makes this bit great to use due to minimal Burst risk.
Weaknesses:
Chaotic and Unpredictable Movement: The mode shifts are not always consistent, making it harder to control in battle. This can result in unexpected behavior, especially under high-speed conditions.
Vulnerability to Tripping: Due to the height-changing mechanism, there’s a risk of the Bit tripping when transitioning between modes, which can lead to instability and reduced effectiveness.
Less Aggressive than Standard Point: While Trans Point retains some attack properties, it is more stamina-focused, making it less effective for pure attack strategies
Gameplan:
Flat launch or a somewhat tilted angle shoot: To maximize the effectiveness of this Bit, you can employ a flat launch or a slight angle to utilize the stadium's gimmicks and aim for knockouts.
Overall: Trans Point is a bit that is inconsistent in performance. While it has good stamina and aggression, it suffers from self-bursting on the Xtreme Rail and is vulnerable to bursting when the mode change occurs. If one is to use this bit, it’s best to keep it in low mode and launch away from the Xtreme Rails to minimize risk.
Overall
Crimson Garuda offers decent value for what it is, especially for those looking to add an attack-oriented blade to their collection. The ratchet isn’t special, and Trans Point doesn’t shine consistently, but it can still hold its own. While it isn’t a high-priority purchase, it’s a welcome addition if you can get it, but you’re not missing out on much if you don’t.
