Weight: 34.5g (LOW END) - 35.3g (HIGH END)
Design: Three-sided blade design with sharp, aggressive contact points.
Uses a variety of attack potential: Capable of both upper attack (launching Beyblades into the air) and smash attack (sending Beyblades into pockets).
Attack VS Attack performance: In an attack vs. attack (AVA) matchup, Dran Sword tends to excel initially with sharp and explosive hits.
Attack VS Defense/Stamina: It can also perform well against stamina and defence combinations as Dran Sword can use its aggressive recoil to deliver strong blows against opponents.
DranSword on Stamina/Defense: When used on stamina or defence combinations, Dran Sword can maintain a stationary position in the stadium while still being aggressive enough to achieve knockouts.
Strengths:
Explosive Critical Hits: Dran Sword at its peak, being mint can deliver strong explosive hits that can Burst or KO their opponent. However, this can vary the more worn Dran Sword becomes.
Weaknesses:
Low Stamina: Fast and aggressive but has low stamina, depleting quickly over time.
Top Heavy: Due to the shape and design this Beyblade will naturally as the battle gets closer to the end fall down because of where the weight is distributed.
Negative Recoil: This blade can suffer the issue where the recoil generated can be used against itself leading it to be hurled around the stadium where one of its greatest assets could be a weakness.
Wearing Design: Due to its sharp and aggressive design, especially when paired with the Beyblade X Xtreme Dash Gimmick, it is prone to wear faster than other Beyblades. It is recommended to have more than one copy of the Dran Sword layer, likely for replacements due to wear and tear.
Overall: Due to the fact other releases like Phoenix Wing and other attackers not only outclass for pure attack but for other combination types, Dran Sword is a welcome addition but not a must-have currently.
Gameplan: On setups with low height on any aggressive bit that can get speed, like Flat Taper, you must hard launch and aim to defeat your opponent quickly.
Combos:
Attack: Dran Sword 3-60/4-60/5-60 Flat/Low Flat/Taper/Rush
Stamina: Dran Sword 3-60/4-60/5-60/5-80/3-80/9-60/9-80 Ball / Orb
Defense: Dran Sword3-60/4-60/5-60/5-80/3-80/9-80/9-60 Needle/HighNeedle
Weight: 6.30g (LOW END) - 6.40g (HIGH END)
Design: 3-60 is a ratchet that has 3 sides and a low height, the contact areas for the ratchet are 3 wided points.
Three sides with wider hit points: The Ratchet has three sides with wider contact points compared to a four-sided design. Despite being wider and should be more easier to hit, this is not the case due it being rounded off.
Low Height: It is one of the lowest height ratchets, making it a great use for attack combinations or other low height setups depending on context.
Weakness:
Tightness Variation: Generally 3-60's have not been uber tight for the low height, so while this doesn't matter too much even if 4 sides can be tighter.
Weight: 2.3g
Design: As Flat is well...flat its simple design works well for X for attack. Flat is a bit bottom that has a flat bottom with an indent on there, and features a stat of 80 for high Burst resistance.
Strengths:
Great attack bit for Beyblade X: The Flat Bit is well-suited for aggressive playstyles and can be effective in offensive strategies.
Uses the Xtreme Dash gimmick easily: The Bit works well with the Xtreme Dash performance tip, allowing for high speed and KO potential.
Able to pick up strong speeds and KO: The Bit excels in achieving high rotational speeds, making it proficient at knocking out opponents from the stadium.
Burst Resistance: Due to being a Bit with a 80 Stats in Burst resistance this makes this bit great to use due to minimal Burst risk.
Weaknesses:
Low stamina: The Bit may not be ideal for battles that require endurance, as it lacks stamina. Stamina is important for outlasting opponents in long battles. In the context of a battle if you get your hits at the start and don't miss you have nothing to worry about.
Vulnerability to self-KO: If the Bit is hard-launched and catches the stadium path, it can self-KO, which is a potential weakness. Control and technique are important when using this Bit.
Gameplan:
Flat launch or a somewhat tilted angle shoot: To maximize the effectiveness of this Bit, you can employ a flat launch or a slight angle to utilize the stadium's gimmicks and aim for knockouts.
Generally with Flat: You can do either flat shoot or tilt on case by case basis depending if you want to try to focus on the Xtreme Line to try and KO or try to destabilize and harm the opponent.
Overall
Dran Sword overall is an extremely solid pick up it features a good low height ratchet, a great aggressive bit and a solid attacking blade, you should try to have more than one copy if you are going to use it. It has however has been outshined by recent attack releases like SharkEdge, ViperTail, PhoenixWing, Dran Buster achieve this job a lot better.
