Ptera Swing 7-70B
UX-10
Weight: 34.2g (LOW END) - 34.5g (HIGH END)
Design: Ptera Swing features a three-sided blade design with sharp, triangular, smoothed aggressive contact points.
Variant/Echo: Ptera Swing is a Variant/Echo of Viper Tail, sharing a similar structure but with slightly more exposed gaps and smoother contact points.
Attack VS Attack performance: Ptera Swing can destabilize opponents and outspin them by utilizing its ability to redirect momentum.
Attack VS Defense/Stamina: A hard-hitting attacker, Ptera Swing can effectively use its slope when downward banking, making it useful for disrupting stamina and defense types.
Defense/Stamina: While possible at taller heights, Ptera Swing suffers from recoil release, making it highly prone to bursting in non-attack setups.
Strengths:
Destabilizing Hits: The low-hanging metal blades allow Ptera Swing to disrupt its opponent’s balance effectively.
Decent Smash Attack: Ptera Swing has strong smacking properties, allowing it to deliver high-impact hits that can potentially overwhelm opponent.
Weaknesses:
Top-Heavy Design: Due to the gap in its structure, Ptera Swing can sometimes fall forward, losing stamina and becoming vulnerable to spin finishes.
Gap Exposure: Like other Blades with gaps, Ptera Swing suffers from vulnerability to being caught and manipulated by other Blades, increasing the risk of bursting.
Recoil Release: The high recoil of this Blade can cause premature burst losses, as the Ratchet may release the Bit unexpectedly during battle (specifically on low resistance bits).
Overall: Ptera Swing is a strong attack Blade that thrives in aggressive, low-height setups. However, its high recoil and vulnerability to bursting make it less reliable for defense or stamina. It is a welcome addition but not a must have for attack-focused Bladers but requires careful setup to mitigate its weaknesses.
Gameplan: Use Ptera Swing in low-height attack setups for maximum performance.
Recommended Combos Attack: Ptera Swing 5-60 / 3-60 / 7-60 Flat / Low Flat / Taper / Rush / Point / Low Rush
Weight: 7.1g
Design: 7-70 is a Ratchet with 7 sides and a mid-height structure. It features multiple wide contact points with one very protruding square point.
Strengths:
Balanced Height: At mid-height, it works well for both Attack and Defense setups.
Good for Deflection: The combination of weight and shape makes it effective at deflecting opposing attacks.
Strong Lock: Provides a tight fit, improving burst resistance.
Weakness:
Slow Movement: Having a heavy ratchet is both a pro and a con, being on other blades it also means you are going to be a bit slower meaning you have to launch harder to compensate.
Stamina: 7-70 Is not really meant to be used for pure stamina, if one is going to just use it for defense or attack.
Overall: 7-70 is a well-rounded Ratchet, excelling in Attack and Defense setups. Its ability to deflect attacks and its strong lock make it a solid option, along with it's very heavy weight makes it a must have to any bladers collection.
Weight: 2.1g
Design: Ball is a Beyblade X bit with low burst resistance and a semi-sphere on the bottom.
Strengths:
Highest Stamina: The Ball bit due to its design of semi sphere is currently the best bit to use for pure stamina in Beyblade X.
Weaknesses:
KO Risk: Due to not having a shape that is all that special for defense, it can get easily hit and thrown out of the stadium and knocked out.
Burst Risk: Due to being a bit with 20 in burst resistance, there is a potential risk to use as it has lower resistance than Balance and Attack bits. This is not the end all be all just something to consider.
Gameplan:
Somewhat tilted angle shoot and throw: To maximize the effectiveness of this Bit, you can employ a slight angle and throw the Beyblade on the opposing side from where you launch. This is to avoid knockouts and to conserve stamina.
Overall
Ptera Swing has a decent part selection. The Blade itself is decent for attack, though it's more focused on destabilizing opponents rather than delivering raw power. While it won't be a top-tier attack Blade, it still has potential. It’s not particularly strong in pure stamina, but as an attack Blade, it performs well enough. The 7-70 Ratchet is arguably one of the best 7-sided Ratchets available. Its design is helpful for both attacking and deflecting, making it a strong choice for competitive play. The Bit, Ball, is a solid stamina Bit. However, the stock combination itself isn't powerful. Still, Ptera Swing holds good value overall. It may not be a must-have, but it can be useful in better combinations.
