Knight Shield 4-80T
BX-08
Weight: 32g (LOW END) - 32.6g (HIGH END)
Design: KnightShield is a blade that features a unique circular shape that features bumps that lift around on the blade.
Defense Use: KnightShield is a pretty unique blade in that it doesn't have a traditional defence like we normally see in Beyblade. Rather, what Shield offers is the idea of counterattack. Counterattack can be defined as high recoil to tire out attack types with standing still. If you are using this on a defensive build or even a stamina one you will see glimpses of Shield throwing around Beyblades.
Stamina Use: Shield has a very good shape for its overall design and features solid enough stamina to contend with other blades like HellsScythe and WizardArrow.
Attack Vs Attack Use: Shield features high stamina and high recoil against beys it is facing against. Due to this along with the holes that are on the blade it is able to fly around around like crazy and give attackers beatings. You can manage to do pretty well and even outspin your opponents.
Attack VS Stamina: Sadly even with LowFlat this is where it is going to require the skill of the Blader, Shield features a unique shape that makes it hard to get it to hit beys perfectly to be consistent for attack.
Strengths:
Good Stamina: KnightShield features decent to high stamina for its performance.
Counterattack Potential: KnightShield if used on defensive combinations, can be used to give attackers beatings while still having enough stamina to outlast them at the end.
KO Revival?: Since Shield has a wavey design and wide shape it allows it to be able to pop out of the pocket and stay in the game sometimes.
Weaknesses:
Gap On Blade: Knight Shield has a gap present on the Blade, while Shields unique design can prevent it from Bursting, one should be very careful in battle and launch with a tilt.
Gameplan: Be very careful with your launch and you want to see how your opponent is launching to either hard shoot force to the center or potentially tilt to get a bounce hit on your opponent.
Anti Attack:KnightShield 3-60/4-60 Flat/Low Flat/Taper/Rush (Anti Attack is just for Attack VS Attack stuff where it has a lot of stamina and the goal is to defeat the attacker)
Stamina: KnightShield 3-60/5-60/3-80/5-80 Ball/Orb
Defense:KnightShield 3-60/5-60/3-80/5-80 Needle/HighNeedle
Weight: 7g
Design: 4-80 is a ratchet that has 4 sides and a tall height, the contact areas for the ratchet are 4 small points.
No real difference in consistent stamina: There doesn't seem to be a significant difference in stamina performance between the other sides of 3, 4, 5, 9 etc... However one should balance tune or try to test on a case-by-case basis before deciding what to use.
Strengths:
General Stamina: Generally 4 sided ratchets seem to have promising enough stamina.
Tightness: Aside from random quality control issues the tightness is usually pretty high on 4-80, similar to other tall height ratchets.
Weakness:
Four sides with smaller hit points: The Ratchet has four sides with small square contact points compared to a three-sided design. Despite having smaller hit points than three sides it actually makes it easier to hit since it is not as rounded off meshed onto the ratchet.
Tall Height: It is one of the tallest height ratchets, not only that but since the 4 points are easier to Burst than 3 sides you are extremely vulnerable to losing via burst.
Weight: 2.2g
Design: Taper is a Bit that features high Burst resistance and features a semi-flat with an indent on the bottom.
Strengths:
Great mixed stamina and attack bit for Beyblade X: The Taper Bit is similar to Flat where the design of this Bit is a semi-flat. So while it is still able to be used for attack getting that aggressive movement, you have greatly improved stamina compared to regular flat.
Uses the Xtreme Dash gimmick easily: The Bit works well with the Xtreme Dash performance tip, allowing for high speed and KO potential.
Able to pick up somewhat strong speeds and KO: The Bit excels in achieving somewhat high rotational speeds, making it proficient at knocking out opponents from the stadium.
Burst Resistance: Due to being a Bit with an 80 Stats in Burst resistance this makes this bit great to use due to minimal Burst risk.
Weaknesses:
Mixed attack potential: Taper can have the reverse issue of Flat, while Flat can kinda fail for stamina performance, Taper can kinda fail for attack performance. It requires a good shoot to make it get to a very similar performance to Flat when Blader is optimizing for the shoot. This is both a pro and a con, you get the benefit of more controlled stamina but less use of pure attack.
Vulnerability to self-KO: If the Bit is hard-launched and catches the stadium path, it can self-KO, which is a potential weakness. Control and technique are important when using this Bit.
Gameplan:
Flat launch or a somewhat tilted angle shoot: To maximize the effectiveness of this Bit, you can employ a flat launch or a slight angle to utilize the stadium's gimmicks and aim for knockouts.
