Weiss Tiger
Weight: 34.5g (LOW END) - 34.7g (HIGH END)
Design: Weiss Tiger is a 3-sided blade with 3 holes and an outer blade with a downward slope.
Gimmick Mastery Of Balance: Weiss Tiger is described as using the holes on the blade for shock absorption, similar to Knight Shield. The edges of the blade hang low to dampen stamina like Viper Tail, and the curve on the blade has an Upper Attack like Shark Edge.
Weiss Tiger On Attack/ Balance Combos VS Stamina: As of June 2024, Weiss Tiger is slightly below average for what most would expect Beyblade X blades to be, so its Attack and Balance combo use is not that good. While the weight is OK at best, the weight distribution in the shape is not good, being not that aggressive for the design. Weiss needs to be tilted to do anything; if it stands still, you won't get much use out of it in attack combos. Weiss struggles quite a bit against Wizard Rod to be able to knock it out.
Weiss Tiger Attack VS Attack: Presenting a similar issue to Attack/Balance VS Stamina since it isn't that heavy it kind of gets weight crept by Dran Buster, Phoenix Wing and Tyranno Beat. Even if you ignore those, it is OK at best for many of the hits it does.
Weiss Tiger On Stamina/Defense Combos: Weiss Tiger's big problem is the weight and weight distribution for the shape. It can potentially tank some attacks from other blades, but it doesn't have that consistent stamina. So you either have a case in pure stamina vs stamina it just does poor. Stamina VS Attack can deflect the opponents and outspin, but it isn't doing anything special. If Weiss is used on Hexa for Denfese VS Attack, while it is possible to counter-attack maybe and defend, it is TOO light and can get KO'd right away.
Strengths:
Decent Smash Attack: Despite being designed for Upper Attack, Weiss is, at best, most consistent in having a decent smash attack, which allows it to knock out opponents well.
Weaknesses:
Weight Distribution/Weight: Weiss Tiger suffers from poor weight and weight distribution. The sections aren't that thick on the outer parts of the blade, and while the weight is OK since the shape is already so good, having below-average weight in the current Beyblade X means it had two factors working against itself.
Stamina: Weiss Tiger has inconsistent endgame stamina, allowing it to get outspun, often not unless you hard launch it.
Overall, Weiss Tiger is just an average release. It doesn't do anything exceptionally good or exceptionally bad compared to the current roster of Beyblade X. While it is possible to compete with top contenders, the design and weight distribution unfortunately prevented it from being as effective as it could've been. As such, it is a welcome addition to anyone's collection but not a must-have priority.
Gameplan: Tilt to maximize effective news because the blade standing flat cannot do consistent work.
Combos:
Stamina: Weiss Tiger 5-60B/O
Balance/Attack: Weiss Tiger 5-60/9-60/3-60 U/P
Defense: Weiss Tiger 5-60/5-70H
